Short order cook job description summary:
Prepare and serve food items according to specifications in an efficient manner while displaying the highest standard of guest service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
+ Completes opening prep list – ensuring all stock levels are met in venue.
+ Takes orders from customers and cook foods requiring short preparation times, according to customer requirements.
+ Restock venue supplies, rotate food, and stamp the time and date on all items.
+ Perform food preparation tasks, such as making sandwiches, slicing meats, preparing soups or salads, and making pizzas.
+ Prepare orders so that items served together are finished at the same time.
+ Clean food preparation areas and equipment including fryers.
+ Ensure cleanliness of venue.
+ All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required. Previous cashier experience preferred. One-year short order or prep cook experience desired.
