Weyerhaeuser’s Coos Bay Timberlands operation, based out of Coos Bay, OR has an opening for a Shovel Logger. We are seeking individuals who desire to work in a market-focused logging environment. This is a full-time, hourly position. Hourly employees at this operation are represented by the IAM-AW Union. Benefits (in accordance with the Labor Agreement) include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Vacation, and Holidays. Rate of pay is $36.685 per hour.

Key Functions:

Safely and competently operate the shovel on various slopes and soils while adhering to safety, environmental, production and quality standardsExpected to make daily adjustments to maximize logging system output as dictated by business needs (weather, labor, truck availability, etc.)Proficiently operate a log loader to meet production standards effectively and safelyOperate and become efficient with apps and other systems/technology as requiredDemonstrate organizational and leadership characteristics to layout cutting and YL logging planPerform and assist on equipment inspections and fully support and participate in preventative maintenance procedures and routine maintenance repairs as they developCompetent, qualified, and able to work independently, as well as a team
