Job Description
We are seeking a Showroom Consultant to manage our sample room and ensure it is well-organized and presentable for walk-in customers. You will greet and assist customers, helping them find the types of tiles they are looking for by asking questions about their preferences and style. This role requires face-to-face customer service experience and comfort in approaching and building relationships with customers. You will also need basic computer skills to manage inventory and reorders.
ResponsibilitiesManage the sample room, track inventory of samples, handle re-orders, write labels, and maintain organization.Ensure the showroom is presentable for walk-in customers.Greet customers upon arrival and assist them in navigating the showroom.Help customers find the types of tiles they are looking for by asking questions about their color and style preferences.Assist customers in making informed decisions about tile selections.Essential SkillsFace-to-face customer service experience (e.g., retail, admin, barista, waitress, childcare, nanny).Comfortable approaching individuals and building relationships in a showroom setting.Designer or Interior Design experience, degree, or certificates.High School diploma or GED.Basic computer skills, including using Excel and entering data into existing spreadsheets.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior work experience with tile or construction materials is a plus.Work Environment
The employee will work primarily in an office space, with occasional trips to the slab warehouse to view products and collect samples. This is a team-oriented environment with training provided for industry knowledge. The position is a 3-month contract-to-hire, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The showroom may also open on Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM, with a corresponding adjustment to the weekday schedule.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00
