Responsibilities encompass the coordination and instruction of one or more courses within a prescribed curriculum. Teachers in this classification usually specialize in the academic subject, professional discipline or technical skill being taught at the time of employment. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based upon results obtained. May supervise subordinate employees assigned to area of responsibility. Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit. **Requisition ID:** 37822BR **Travel Required:** None **Pay Grade Maximum:** Pay is commensurate to work being performed. **Major/Essential Functions:** The Department of Clinical Counseling and Mental Health in the School of Health Professions at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) invites applicants for the position of Adjunct Instructor for their online Master of Science in Counseling programs (i.e., Addiction Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling). The open position is for an adjunct position in an online format. The primary role of the appointment is for educating within the Master of Science in Counseling programs in one or more of the following areas: addiction counseling, clinical mental health counseling, and/or clinical rehabilitation counseling. Teach courses within the online Master of Science in Counseling programs (i.e., Addiction Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling) as assigned by the program director(s) in synchronous and asynchronous formats. Facilitate meaningful discussions, promote critical thinking, and provide constructive feedback to students to foster their professional growth. Collaborate with program faculty and staff to continuously enhance the quality and effectiveness of the program curriculum and educational experiences. Demonstrate excellent communication abilities, effectively conveying information and ideas both verbally and in writing. Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
