This individual must have experience working in a high-volume professional kitchen and must be motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work well in a team. Successful candidates for this role will have a track record of working with menus that reflect seasonal availability and will respond in a professional and courteous manner to guests and fellow team members. The Shula's Steakhouse Cook will assist with the daily production, preparation, and presentation of food, ensuring all safety and sanitation standards are met to achieve high-quality, profitable results. Your Role: Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks as assigned by the chef or supervisor. Ensure food is prepared according to restaurant standards and recipes. Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Participate in daily kitchen walk-throughs to identify any cleanliness, repair, or improvement needs. Contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen by following prep lists and instructions. Support the nightly cleaning and organization of kitchen areas. Qualifications Skills and Abilities: Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and sanitation standards. Ability to follow recipes and instructions with attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Ability to handle food allergens safely and address guest concerns promptly. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry goods, and work in various temperature conditions. This role is ideal for someone with culinary experience who is eager to continue growing and contributing to a dynamic kitchen environment. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $17.25/Hr. - $17.25/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
