Job Title: Shunter Driver (Afternoons)

Salary: £27,800 rising to £29,200 + 20% shift premium

Contract: Full time & permanent

The Opportunity

As a Shunter Driver you will move and inspect materials, follow safety rules, keep the area clean, and assist with loading tasks.

What you will do

As a Shunter Driver, you are accountable for, but not limited to:

Transport and Inspect: Move materials and trailers around the site. Check vehicles and trailers and report any issues.

Safety and Cleanliness: Follow safety rules and keep the work area clean and organized.

Continuous Improvement: Join improvement workshops and keep learning new skills.

Work Coordination: Make sure trailers are in the right place at the right time. Help with forklift and loading tasks.

Training and licensing for shunter operations will be provided.

What You Can Demonstrate:

Understand Instructions: Can read and follow instructions.

Teamwork: Works well with others.

Communication: Good at talking to people at all levels.

Flexible and Willing to Learn: Open to working overtime and learning new things.

Shift Work: Ready to work different shifts (Monday-Wednesday 16:30-2:30, Thursday 16:30-2:00).

   

Top Candidates will have:

Shunter License: Experienced with LGV and trailer shunting.

Forklift License: Experienced forklift operator.

Machinery Licenses: Licensed for Backhoe Loaders (BHL), Compact Wheel Loaders (CWL), Telehandlers (TH), and straddle carriers.
