Shuttle Driver / Forklift Operator
Job Description

This is a direct hire position. Position is responsible for driving a forklift and a manual box truck from building to building to transfer raw materials and finished goods. Duties also include picking orders and preparing goods to be moved by placing material on pallets and wrapping. Other duties may include inspecting for damaged goods and recording product location and quantities.

Key Responsibilities:


• Maneuvering forklifts safely.

• Safely operate box truck

• Safely stacking and unstacking goods onto shelves or pallets.

• Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport.

• Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage

areas.

• Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods.

• Reviewing shuttle list that is filled out by Line Leads and Supervisors.

• Transporting product from one building to the other.

• Picking orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring damaged cases are accounted for and the required paperwork is completed.

• Maintaining a clean and organized Warehouse.

• Properly recording open and/or damaged cases and storing properly.





Work Experience

Required Experience:


• Valid driver’s license.

• Sit-down and Stand-up forklift experience.

• Ability to use Standup Walkie Rider.

• Experience driving a manual and automatic box truck.

• 2+ years in a warehouse setting, picking experience a plus.

• Computer literate (Excel and Word), MRP systems a plus.

• Excellent interactive and communication skills (written and verbal).

• Familiar with GMP’s, SQF, USDA or FDA and Safety Standards preferred

• Able to communicate with other team members and supervisor.

• Ability to efficiently work independent of direct supervision.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Strong organizational skills with a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
