Job Summary:
The Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of Epic Mountain Express (EME) Eagle County Regional Airport counter operations. The counter serves pre-reserved guests and point-of-sale guest reservations; open seven days per week meeting all inbound flights. The Manager oversees all aspects of guest transportation from the airport, assists with all guest resolutions, and as an information center in support of the Vail Resorts brand. The Manager oversees the counter staff and manages all EME drivers while they are on site at EGE. The Manager is responsible for any EME related incident management within the boundaries of EGE.
The Manager attends all airport meetings, and is the point person representing EME to the public and the airport. The Manager is responsible for managing the annual budget specific to the counter operation. Other responsibilities will be assigned due to the seasonal nature of the Eagle County Regional Airport flight schedules. Reporting structure may vary seasonally. The Manager is required to be the primary on site representative at the counter during all seasons regardless of seasonal staffing fluctuations.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and manage operational plans for all scheduled departures, luggage transfers, private charters, and flight diversions Responsible for the management and performance of all Epic Mountain Express employees at EGE. Identify the necessary headcount to meet departmental goals and partner in the recruiting and hiring of these employees. Develop and implement training programs for all positions in the department with focus on employee development and succession Responsible for achieving annual and strategic departmental goals, through effective labor and expense management in support of budget and forecast Responsible for implementing and achieving revenue goals in line with strategic enterprise growth expectations Provide a high level of attention on guest satisfaction results. Create and manage service recovery programs within the department focusing on these results to ensure that all agents are trained in proper service recovery Plan, attend and actively participate in team and management meetings, including the EGE Airport Ground Transportation meetings, fostering professional relationships Work with other Lead Operations Managers to create and set consistent policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
College Degree preferred. High school diploma required Strong Microsoft applications skills required. Ability to become competent with other applications used at EME: Hudson, PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors, Lytx, etc. Must have good knowledge and understanding of industry best practices and have an understanding of operating in a high mountain environment
The expected pay range is $55,000 - $72,125. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
