The work hours will primarily be regular day shift office hours. However, there may be times when they are required to work off hours to respond to project inquiries, adhere to project deadlines and meet the overall needs of a 24/7 health system/university. Sightline is seeking a **_Sightline Sr. Strategic Project Manager_** to be an integral member of the JHU Transformation Team. This position will report to the Assistant Vice President for Finance and Administration Transformation. The Sightline Sr. Strategic Project Manager will be responsible for all phases of project management during the development and implementation of the new technology solutions. This individual will participate in strategic planning and tactical execution of transformation initiatives. In collaboration with leadership, the successful candidate will support the planning, design, and implementation of the transformation component of the Sightline project, integrating the various workstreams and working collaboratively with Sightline’s functional teams including Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Sponsored Research and Supply Chain, in addition to other business operations/transformation work. The Sightline Sr. Strategic Project Manager will execute project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, adhere to high-quality standards, and delight the customer. This individual will be responsible for coordinating project plans, team and work assignments, guiding, and monitoring work efforts daily, identifying resource needs and escalating functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately. _Job Scope/Complexity_ + Projects will be extremely complex and varied and also require the ability to balance the demands of multiple projects. Duties will also require building and maintaining strong, trusted customer and vendor relationships. **Specific Duties & Responsibilities** + The responsibilities listed below are typical examples of the work performed in this position. + Not all duties assigned to this position are included, nor is it expected that everyone in this position will be assigned every job responsibility. _Project Management_ + Monitor and align project activities with the Operating Model framework, proactively addressing dependencies, facilitating collaboration, and driving the completion of all aspects of the implementation according to the project plan. + Establish and maintain clear, streamlined communication channels across all stakeholder groups, ensuring that all parties are informed, aligned, and actively contributing to Operating Model objectives and milestones. + Integrates multiple cross-functional processes and disciplines to meet transformation goals. + Communicate proactively with stakeholders to encourage, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements. + Responsible for curating meeting agendas and materials for meetings with JHU Functional Leads, Transformation Office, Transformation JHHS counterparts and partnerships, Business Modernization Committee (BMC) and others as needed. + Review the risks, actions, items and decisions (RAID) log and escalate concerns as needed. _Planning and Innovation_ + Collaborate with the transformation team to ensure project goals and objectives are clearly defined, measurable, and effectively aligned with the overall transformation strategy. + Ensure the project continues to stay on task and on time. + Employ innovative planning techniques to streamline project workflows, anticipate potential challenges, and proactively address them with create solutions. + Actively encourage and integrate input from cross-functional teams to implement innovative approaches that enhance project outcomes. _Analysis and Documentation_ + Ensure version control and organization of project documents for easy retrieval and audit readiness. + Document lessons learned and best practices to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. + Produce high-quality documentation that meets Johns Hopkins standards and is appropriate for its intended audience. + Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify project requirements, risks, and opportunities for improvement. **Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** + Must demonstrate strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills. + Ability to work on multiple priorities effectively and prioritize conflicting demands. + Must be well organized and detail oriented. + Ability to lead colleagues via influence and without authority. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain concepts to lay audiences. + Self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritize and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment. + Results-oriented with the ability to produce products that deliver organizational benefits. + Proven success in meeting project deadlines and timelines. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree. + Eight years related experience in project management with proven ability to work independently on projects. + Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. **Preferred Qualifications** + Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable. + Excellent writing, editing, and interpersonal skills. + Knowledge of the assigned technical areas this position is responsible for. Employee group: Full Time Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm Exempt Status: Exempt Location: Hybrid: On-site 3-4 days a week Department name: 60013301-Sightline Personnel area: University Administration This salary range does not include all components of the Sightline compensation program. This position may be eligible for a discretionary retention and performance bonus, based on individual performance and the project's performance, as determined by the Vice President, Financial and Administrative Systems, Sightline in their sole discretion. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary slightly from the salary range stated herein.
