Position Overview:
AmergisEducational and Healthcare Staffing is seeking a school based Sign LanguageInterpreter to support a school district in Puyallup, WA. The Educational SignLanguage Interpreter supports staff, students, and families by providinginterpretation and translation services for deaf and hearing-impaired students.The interpreter also effectively facilitates communication between students whouse sign language due to hearing loss, and students/teachers who do not.
Minimum Requirements:
State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate (as applicable) Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) certificate (as applicable per state regulation or client requirement) Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification (as applicable per state regulation or client requirement) Current CPR if applicable TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
