Job Overview: Supports the SMSC gaming enterprise and community by fabricating signs, posters, banners, LED, neon lighting systems, marketing collateral and décor items. Determines the appropriate materials, constructability, and assembly requirements to meet project goals. This role will work Monday-Wednesday from 6am-2:30pm.
Job Duties: Fabricates, installs, and strikes signs, banners, neon and acrylic accessories; including marketing and group sales collateral and décor. Maintains and repairs signs and neon lighting systems. Fabricates patterns and prototypes, researches, and develops fabrication techniques. Performs preventative maintenance of shop machinery and equipment. Occasional Tasks: Cross trains with other departments within the facilities management team to assist with ongoing projects. Driving is not an essential function of this job. In the event driving is required, team members must adhere to the driving standards determined by the Gaming Enterprise.

Job Requirements:
Reflects MINIMUMEDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectations of this job:
High school graduate or GED with related work experience in a full-service sign shop or in any of the following areas: apprentice electrician, sign installer, neon tube bender, welder, print technician, CNC or mill operator, carpenter or scene shop fabricator. Knowledge or ability to learn large-format printing and cutting; including the use of a flat-bed and roll-fed printer and Zund digital cutters. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams to provide accurate take-offs for material usage. Ability to learn sign design software including Adobe Creative Cloud applications and printer RIP Software. Knowledge of basic electricity, wiring and electrical codes pertaining to sign installations. The ability to communicate information and ideas in written and spoken English so others will understand.
