Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Simulation Engineer (Simulink) to join our team.This role involves working closely with Software developers to document, modify, and create Simulink models within the medical device industry.The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Simulink and MATLAB, and be comfortable with both coding and documentation.Will work on a small team of engineers - will be the main Engineer running Simulations and Documenting for both New Product Development as well as updating Legacy machines.Will work on a Hybrid basis - typically in office 3 days a weekWill work cross functionally with different teams and skillsets - Software, Test, Hardware, R&D, etc
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with developers to document, modify, and understand Simulink models.Develop and maintain simulation models using Simulink and MATLAB.Ensure strong and accurate documentation of models and code.Work with hardware integration and simulation.Utilize C and C++ languages as needed.Assist in the development and validation of medical device models.Essential SkillsProficient in Simulink and MATLAB.4-8 years of development experience specifically with SimulinkStrong documentation skills for Requirements (Med Dev Preferred)Experience with running simulationsFamiliarity with C and C++ languages.Additional Skills & QualificationsTechnical degree - Computer Science, Systems, Electrical, etcExperience in the medical device industry is ideal but not required.Open to learning medical device regulations.Work Environment
You will be working on a team of 3-6 people within Irvine, with a total of 20 people in the engineering team. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days on-site each week, with flexible days depending on team needs. The office is growing and looking for leaders to help make a difference.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $95.00 - $100.00/hr.
