Job Overview: We are seeking a Simulation faculty member to teach in a pre-licensure nursing program. Responsibilities include clinical and classroom teaching, test and curriculum development, faculty committee support, and student advisement. Continuing education and development to attain or maintain Nurse Educator competencies are expected. Faculty members are role models for professional nursing and adhere to the Faculty Code of Conduct. The School of Nursing is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Nursing Education and is approved by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing. This position will support our campus in Oceanport, New Jersey. The anticipated hire date is May 2025.

Qualifications:

New Jersey RN License is required MA or MS in Nursing is required; Doctorate preferred Two (2) years of patient care experience is required One (1) year experience in simulation preferred Certificate in Simulation preferred Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or Certified Nurse Educator Clinical (CNE cl) preferred

Essential Functions: Develops, implements, and evaluates evidenced-based activities in the Learning/Simulation Lab in coordination with course faculty. Participate in simulation activities as primary instructor or as technical support to faculty members. Demonstrates nursing skills and techniques to students. Use information technologies skillfully to support the teaching-learning process, including the use of high-fidelity human simulators. Utilizes critical thinking skills to effectively communicate information, observations and/or activities to appropriate individuals. Recommends additions and deletions to the library. Provides individual and small group tutoring in the Lab. Provides ongoing feedback to students related to their strengths and weaknesses in performance of skills. Demonstrates professionalism and sensitivity when interacting with students/peers. Serves as a role model for professional nursing and adheres to the Faculty Code of Conduct.
