About This Role
Join CAE’s Simulator team based in Vienna, Austria, working on the most advanced simulators in the world. Due to the unrivalled range of simulators at our training centre, your role will be incredibly varied, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide range of the most modern simulators, systems, and equipment to enhance your technical knowledge.
In this role, the Simulator Systems Engineer will be expected to ensure that the simulators and other training devices are kept operational and manage new updates and installs. This position is at the supervisory level of technical staff and the incumbent is expected to exercise judgment and initiative in planning, coordination, and execution of work assignments in line with the existing policies and procedures and by effectively allocating time and resources to meet business and budget objectives in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
+ Debugging avionics and aircraft system deficiencies
+ Tuning subjective observations raised by instructors.
+ debugging and tuning QTGs
+ Solving software issues and integrate them into software loads.
+ Identify and debug recurring and intermittent issues.
+ Plan and prepare for annual Recurrent Qualifications of in-service devices.
+ Coordinate new simulator projects and upgrades and subsequently provide the project engineer functions to oversee their installation, testing & qualification.
+ Provide regulatory guidance and support simulator requalification’s.
+ Support the shift and work in conjunction with the Team Leader Simulator Technician and provide cover as required during low shift numbers.
Our ideal candidate has:
+ College diploma or associate degree.
+ Ideally 5 – 8 years relevant job experience.
+ Computer literate (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture).
+ Some Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
+ Fluency in English
