The School Health Program Administrator at Montefiore Medical Group will oversee the implementation and administration of comprehensive health services in school settings. This role involves coordinating with healthcare providers, school staff, and community partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality health education, preventive care, and clinical services to students. The Administrator will also be responsible for program evaluation, staff training, and compliance with health regulations, aiming to improve student health outcomes and promote a healthy school environment. Strong leadership, organizational skills, and a background in public health or healthcare management are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
• Manages the daily activities for a designated administrative function
• Prepares and monitors the budget, implements policies and procedures, and monitors program outcomes.
• Supervises, trains and evaluates professional and support staff.
• Responsible for the integration of activities including planning, program development, finance, human resources, facilities/project management, materials management, quality assurance/improvement, data base management, and staff development.
Requirements:
• Master’s in business administration, Health Administration, Public Administration or Health Policy and Management.
• 2-3 years of direct management experience in ambulatory, hospital and/or health care setting.
• Willingness to complete fingerprinting and receive clearance from the DOE (Department of Education)
• Demonstrated skill in working with and building high performing teams.
• THIS POSITION IS 100% GRANT FUNDED
Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00a-4:30p
Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3/5 of the normal workweek.
