Site Assessment Engineer

Job Requirements:

Sufficient mechanical background to identify deficiencies in mechanical structures/equipment in a factory setting 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or mechanical design engineering preferred Engineering degree strongly preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for writing reports Good communication skills Prior work experience at 3M facilities is a plus

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct site-wide equipment structure visual assessments of existing assets and equipment Perform nondestructive visual inspections to identify and report on deficiencies such as corrosion, bent or deformed components, buckled or cracked structures, suspect surface deficiencies, missing components, poor welds, poorly executed changes or modifications, and damaged or deteriorated grouting Identify issues such as lack of, poorly integrated, or inoperable safety guarding, misuse, fatigue, and possible overloads Create a Deficiency Report that includes brief descriptions of each deficiency, photographs, location of the asset, and categorization of risk Work primarily onsite at the specified location for visual assessment activities Complete documentation and report writing activities remotely from home

Pay Details: $48.00 to $64.00 per hour
