Site Assessment Project Manager Location:Los Angeles, CA About the Role: Are you an environmental expert with a passion for managing large-scalesite assessments, remediation efforts, and environmental investigations? Do you thrive in high-impact projects that ensure compliance withstate and federal environmental regulations? We’re seeking an experiencedSite Assessment Project Managerto oversee criticalenvironmental investigations, remediation projects, and regulatory compliance efforts. This role requires ahighly organized, detail-oriented leaderwho can manage contractor performance, budgets, and project timelines while ensuring compliance withDTSC, SCAQMD, and RWQCB regulations. Key Responsibilities: Lead & Oversee Environmental Site Assessments + Manage and coordinate work conducted byMaster Services Agreement (MSA) contractorsfor: + Phase I Environmental Site Assessments + Soil Disposition Evaluations(Compliance with Specification 01 4524) + Health & Safety Risk Assessments + Preliminary Environmental Assessments + Remedial Investigations & Feasibility Studies + Public Participation Plans + Removal Action & Remedial Action Plans + PCB Surveys & Mitigation Efforts Contract Development & Oversight + Assist in the development, negotiation, and management of remediation contracts. + Ensure contractor performance aligns with project goals and environmental regulations. Budget & Schedule Management + Establish and maintainproject budgets and schedulesfor environmental investigations and remediation efforts. + Provide expert recommendations oncost control, contract management, and regulatory compliance. Technical Expertise & Regulatory Compliance + Serve as a subject matter expert onenvironmental site assessments, remediation strategies, and compliance requirements. + Advise theOffice of Environmental Health & Safety (OEHS) Managementon project oversight, contractor performance, and budget adherence. + Collaborate withFacilities Services Divisionto ensure project alignment with: + Schooldesign & construction timelines + Emergency response procedures + Waste disposal protocols + Demolition and environmental impact assessments What You Bring: + 7+ yearsof hands-on experience managingenvironmental investigations and remediation projectsunderDTSC or comparable regulatory agencies. + In-depth knowledge offederal, state, and local environmental regulations, including DTSC,SCAQMD Rule 1466, andRegional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) protocols. + Strong background inremediation strategies, environmental site assessments, and hazardous materials management. + Bachelor’s degree inGeology, Engineering, or a related field(Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus!). + California Professional Registration (Certified Hydrogeologist, Professional Engineer, or Professional Geologist)preferred IMRI offers top-tier benefits that include: medical coverage through nationally recognized carriers, ancillary coverages, paid vacation and sick leave in compliance with all state and local laws, 401(k) with company match, company paid life insurance and LTD, and several additional voluntary coverages.
