Introduction
HDR is currently seeking a Site Civil Engineering Technical Lead for our Building Engineering Services (BES) Business Group located in Denver, CO. The BES team is an integrated facility and infrastructure design team consisting of core services of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural, Controls, and Site Civil Engineering.
The BES Site Civil team currently consists of 13 staff across 2 offices and continues to grow We work with both internal and external clients on multidisciplinary teams.
Primary Responsibilities
This person will be responsible for directing the site civil team in all technical aspects of design of facility-related sites in support of the full variety of markets that HDR supports. They will provide instruction in both theory and process for land development, including water, sanitary, and sewer design; grading; water quality, detention, and retention; facility layout; and other related topics. They will assist with scope fee development, as well as task breakdown, workload distribution across the team, and scheduling. Quality control is of the utmost importance and this person will be expected to maintain a high standard for all team work products.
This person will not serve in a supervisory capacity; they will support the technical development of all team members but will not have any direct reports.

Licensed as a professional engineer (PE) in the State of ColoradoHistory of a commitment to technical excellencePrevious experience with teaching/guiding junior staffWorking knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3DWorking knowledge of modeling software such as Hydraflow Storm Sewers, Hydraflow Hydrographs, HydroCAD, Bentley StormCAD or similar softwarePrevious experience with an architectural/engineering firmPreference given to local candidatesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree A minimum of 10 years design experience managing various civil/site design projects Professional Engineer (PE) license.Project Engineering and Project Management experience An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
