Site Coordinator in the Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP), a New York State Education Department grant funded program. The mission of LPP is to maximize the successful transition of middle and high school students into graduates who are fully prepared for the rigors of higher education and the competitive demands of the workplace.

Responsibilities Serves as a liaison between the School Point Person and the LPP Program Director to provide support services to students who are eligible to participate in LPP. Supports Interns for consistency and continuity in providing support services.Provides/oversees services to students (upon referral and acceptance into an LPP program) that align with their academic, social and emotional needs and the associated risk of dropping out of school.Services may include: Academic support, individual case management, college/career preparedness programs, mentorship, experiential learning, civic engagement, family support services, and Personal Learning Plans.Oversees interns providing these services, aimed at improving high school graduation rates and preparing students for postsecondary education or workforce entry.  Qualifications

Experience

At least three years of relevant prior experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to take initiative and to work independently

Travel

Some local travel expectedOnsite at middle and/or high schools in NYC Maximum Salary USD $30.00/Hr. Minimum Salary USD $24.00/Hr.
