Responsibilities
This individual is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising work and subcontractors on field project sites
Works with considerable independence but reports to project field leadership
Understands the importance of completing the work in accordance with contract documents and building codes
Plans work from oral and written instructions; assigns and supervises the work of personnel engaged in the installation and repairs
Supervises, inspects and keeps records of the completion of the punch list
Recruits and trains skilled trades helper personnel
Establishes safety and work performance standards
Manages material and delivery handling plans with team and subcontractors
Orders and updates jobsite supplies as needed
Coordinates site cleanup
Completes miscellaneous duties or special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Graduation from a standard high school, GED or vocational school with experience as a journeyman; or equivilant training and experience
Must be a team player and/or work well with others
Highly preferred: Construction or related experience
Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment of the construction trade
Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the work
Able to supervise the work of skilled and semi-skilled craft workers
Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings
Maintains good working relationships with personnel of other departments
Communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally
Skilled in the use and care of the standard tools and equipment for the industry
Comprehends and can communicate in English
Ability to communicate in additional language(s) encouraged
