The Geel site is the largest Synthetic Drug Substance manufacturing site within JJ Innovative Medicines. Our team of 700 employees ensures our life savings medicines reach the patient, safely, with high quality, on time and competitively. As the Launch site for Synthetic Drug Substances, we manufacture both the clinical as commercial product portfolio and are closely connected with both our RD partners as our Drug Product sites across the world.
As the Site Digital Lead, you lead the site’s digital roadmap through which you will drive shopfloor value while leveraging global processes and programs.
This position requires excellent Program Management skills and will be accountable to deliver ground-breaking goals with confirmed business value. To achieve this, you partner with the global CoE’s as well as the local teams.

Key responsibilitiesYou shape, develop and deliver our digital program through efficient test and learn, and then scaling confirmed solutions on site.The Site Digital Lead plans and supervises the program against Key Deliverables and Program Objectives, including adequate resourcing, budgeting, and prioritization.You drive efficiencies across the site through suitable adoption of new technologies and improved approaches to how we operate (Challenge the Status Quo and drive improvement).Important in the role is to partner with global CoE’s, to solicit and deploy technologies and systems to both align with global standards while elevating ensuring local shopfloor needs are met and to work as a strategic partner with other (global) departments within the company to align digital strategy programs across other Janssen/JJ sitesStaying in tune with evolving business, technology, and digital trends through excellent connection with the global COEs and platform team and industry knowledge will be key.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, IT, data science or equivalent is required.Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred.Experience, skills and capabilitiesRequires 8 years of experience in the fields of engineering, IT or operations within API or pharma manufacturing (or other regulated business)Profound knowledge of the industry related to the Digital World in pharmaceutical manufacturingHigh technical knowledge to understand complex technology-based solutionsExperience in project management, including budgeting financial savvinessGood appreciation of Industry 4.0/IIoT and how we can optimally strive to transform within this frameworkKey Competencies Strong influencing skillsInnovative and strategic thinkingResults driven with a high sense of accountabilityStrong decision making and problem-solving skillsRelationship builderExcellent interpersonal skills both towards shopfloor as executive level.
