Opportunity to join GXO Logistics as a Site Director 

 

As a Site Director you are responsible for all activities of the site. Oversees and directs all departments within the facilities and is held accountable for its performance. Defines requirements for the site and ensures the implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed requirements & customer expectations. Focus on LEAN techniques, quality management processes, and cost control methodologies within the operations to achieve company goals & profit levels, continued business growth, and long-term relationships with customers.

What you do on a typical day – Site Director

Define requirements for multiple operations and ensure the implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed Company requirements & customer expectations. Ensure daily distribution and light manufacturing activities are executed and accountable for performance shortfalls – develop corrective action plans when performance falls below target. Support Human Resource development through appropriate training, development, and succession planning. Supervise and develop staff and otherwise carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsible for exceeding customer metrics (cost, quality, and responsiveness). Implement and coach Lean warehousing system. Regularly reviews performance expectations with the leadership team, providing expectations, performance planning, feedback, training and development and performance discussions. Support and attend customer QBR’s. Provide support for sales and customer quotations. Identify growth opportunities with current customers. Support customs and legal solutions. Support transportation solutions. Develop and implement a healthy and safe work environment. Administers and communicates company policies. Supervises and develops staff and otherwise carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Manages quality system and continuous process improvement within the facility. Supervises invoice drafting processes. Supports account receivable follow up process. Review and approve operations expenses. Develop and achieve budget and operating income goals. Consciously dealing with the reduction of environmental impact in terms of waste, energy, water, and fuel consumption.


What you need to succeed at GXO  

Bachelor’s degree, e.g. in logistics, engineering, operations management, supply chain management or business administration or experience Minimum Required Experience: 4+ years of Site Management experience, managing large projects with multiple stakeholders. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in Dutch and English. Ability to work in a diverse and international organisation
