Roles and Responsibilities: Lead the development and execution of strategic plans for green field underground coal mining operations Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations in all aspects of the mining operations Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of the mining team, fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and operational excellence Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes, minimize costs, and maximize resource utilization Manage stakeholder relationships, including government agencies, local communities, and industry partners Prepare and manage the annual budget, closely monitoring financial performance and implementing cost-effective measures Implement best practices for equipment maintenance, mine planning, and resource extraction Provide regular reports and updates to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and operational milestones Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and sustainability across the mining operations Behavioural skills Exceptional leadership and decision-making abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to influence and inspire teams towards achieving operational goals Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities Commitment to upholding ethical standards and fostering a culture of integrity Non-Negotiable Skills Proven leadership experience in green field mining projects Demonstrated expertise in safety and environmental compliance within underground coal mining Strategic planning and operational management capabilities in large-scale mining operations

Education Qualification: BE/ B. Tech (Mining/ Any other Engineering field) $. Preferably MBA from a premier institute. ($ First Class Manager Certificate is a must for Commercial Mine Manager role)

Relevant Experience:

10-15 years relevant experience in the mining industry with relevant commercial knowledge. Good written and oral communication skills in English. Experience in developing and managing large infra contracts/ EPC/ outsource activities Experience in managing people with respect to skills development and succession and career planning Experience to manage/lead viability project studies and to evaluate projects, financial evaluations of projects. High level of analytical ability and commercial acumen Should have exposure of digitization, automation and technology-based processes.
