We are looking for a talented individual to strengthen our Site and Infrastructure Engineering team.
About the role:
The Site and Infrastructure Design Engineer will be tasked with conducting feasibility studies for infrastructure projects within the Investment Strategy & Early Design Department. These projects are related to the fields of biology, pharmaceuticals, early solutions, utilities, and general infrastructure. The main stakeholders will be Site Managers, Heads of Sites, and Facility Management.
This role supports all capital investment decisions and CAPEX projects within the Business area and is located in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium.
What you’ll do:
Project Ideation and Strategic Decision-Making:
Consolidate project ideas.Prepare and present strategic scenarios to management.Deliver feasibility assessments and early design, including user requirements, technical deliverables, budget, schedule, risks, alternatives, prioritization, and master plans.Transfer feasibility findings to the Delivery department in accordance with governance guidelines.
Assistance to Business Investment Partners:
Collect user and site requirements.Complete Project Ranking Forms.Establish the project portfolio as an investment plan.Contribute to the robustness of the 10-year plan (10YP) and the Sites Master Plans.
Propose technical solutions to:
Optimize capital expenditure.Ensure stakeholder satisfaction.Guarantee safety for all.Achieve our 2030 environmental goals, including carbon neutrality and a 20% reduction in water consumption.
Collaboration and Understanding:
Connect with peers to gain deep insights into various masterplans (e.g., Networks, Manufacturing, Laboratories).Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience, and skills:
Master’s degree and at least 10 years in the construction industry as a project leader or in an equivalent role.A minimum of 5 successfully delivered capital projects.Experience managing projects with a budget of up to 15 million euros.Proficiency in managing capital assets and familiarity with masterplan building processes and strategies.Ability to understand functional needs of customers.Establish and assess scenarios.Expertise in cGMP, Green, HSE standards and chemical and pharmaceutical standards.
