This Enterprise Operations (EO) position supports Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) and Space. The selected candidate will be responsible for upgrades, operations and maintenance, hardware and software installations, and service requests (servers, workstations, phones, networking, and storage), as well as continuity of operations.

We are seeking a Network Engineer/IDS (Infrastructure Delivery Service) team member to join our team supporting Herndon and Manassas. In this fast-paced environment, you'll draw on your education and experience as well as the resources of Lockheed Martin to solve problems and be a contributing member of a highly skilled team.

The primary function will be to organize, install, and maintain discrete classified and unclassified networks.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Management:
• Design, implement, and maintain the classified network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
• Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability testing on the classified network.
• Implement and maintain network security measures,
• Ensure compliance with all government and organizational security policies and standards.

2. Hardware Support:
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure the reliability and security of all IT assets.
• Assist with the setup and deployment of new computer systems and peripheral devices.

3. Collaboration and Support:
• Work closely with other IDS team members to address and resolve IT-related issues.
• Assist in the development and documentation of IT policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Participate in on-call support rotation to address critical IT issues outside of regular business hours.

4. Project Management:
• Lead and manage IT projects related to network upgrades, security enhancements, and system deployments.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of IT services and solutions.
• Prepare and present project status reports and recommendations to management.

Basic Qualifications:
• Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to obtain a CompTIA Security+ certification or Higher DoD 8572 qualified certificate within the first 60
days of employment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering and IT support.
Desired Skills:
• Working on both unclassified and classified projects, developing, maintaining, and providing support.
• Strong understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security principles.
• Experience with classified network environments and familiarity with government security regulations.
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Travel to multiple sites to provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting and Resolution of network and infrastructure issues.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
