Our client, a premiere Joinery Contractor with over £100 million turnover is urgently looking for a No.1 Site Manager to join their team in London. As an experienced and detail-oriented Joinery Site Manager you will oversee and manage all on-site joinery activities, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards while adhering to health and safety regulations. You ideally have a strong background in joinery, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality work on time and within the budget.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Oversee the day-to-day management of joinery activities on-site, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and in accordance with project specifications.
Coordinate with the project manager, architects, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution and integration.
Participate in regular site meetings to review/report on project progress, address issues, and communicate project goals.
Provide safety briefings and training to all site personnel ensuring that all on-site activities comply with health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular inspections of work to ensure it meets quality standards, ensuring that defects are addressed without delay.
Ensure materials are delivered on time and stored correctly.
Provide regular updates on project progress to senior management and address any client concerns or queries.
Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and filed correctly.
Relevant qualifications in joinery/ construction management with 5+ years supervisory or management experience within construction.
CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid qualifications are desirable.
Strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials, and tools with ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in Site Management software & tools.
