Global Operations Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to manage all aspects related to operations of a local manufacturing unit, including the full scope of Production, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Operational Excellence, and Logistics. Each day, you will ensure achievement of established targets by overseeing progress and define improvement actions as needed. You will also showcase your expertise by executing business unit/product group quality strategy. The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the NEMA Motors division in Tlajomulco de Zuñiga, Jalisco. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tDevelop business action plans for the site, aligned with the global business area, division, product group and operations strategies.•\tPrepare and manage the annual budget and ensure achievement of established targets by overseeing progress and define improvement actions.•\tOversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes that meet customer quality and delivery expectations.•\tDevelop and implement strategies to increase production, capacity utilization and flexibility while preparing for new product launches and growth. •\tRegular and ongoing communication between all major functions and teams in support of the site objectives.•\tProvide oversight for other functions located at the site including real estate, security, design engineering/lab, distribution, etc.
Qualifications for the role\tBachelor's Degree with minimum 10 years of experience OR Master's Degree with minimum 8 years of experience. \t8+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role (Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or similar)\tStrong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.\tStrong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies. \tFluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken)\tIn country cultural awareness with knowledge of local labor laws and regulations. \tWillingness to travel – (15%)
