Site Manager
Overview SOSi is seeking a Site Manager for a potential contract located on Camp Taji, Iraq. Essential Job Duties Responsible for all base life support functions outlined in the Statement of Work to support the client population on Site. Population is estimated 30-40 personnel including Site staff. Accountable for all personnel, services and equipment associated with Site base life support. Provides direction and oversite the Facilities Lead, Logistics Lead, Food Service Chef, and the IT Specialist to facilitate services including power generations, Trades Operations and Maintenance, fuel delivery, waste management and potable water distribution, IT services, dining services, billeting, property and materials management. Provides oversight of subcontractors performing Labor, VSAT, Waste Management, potable water distribution, and leased vehicles. Engage with Iraqi Army Taji base leadership as required. Coordinate with the Program Manager for development and execution of the project budget. Monitor the program to determine that the program: is meeting predetermined objectives and within the budgetary constraints when reporting any and all expenditure to support the program. Monitor regular audits are maintained to ensure that facilities are adequate to support mission requirements; Site management is performing to expectations of facility operations and maintenance; and that the sub-contractors are performing to standards per their statement of work. Present timely and accurate reports, briefs and other documentation to the PM regarding in-country program, sensitive issues, successes and immediately report any emergencies. Manage the IT to facilitate in country communications (e-mail, R/R radio, cellular phone, and satellite internet). Overall responsibility of ensuring that all in-country personnel have proper documentation and follow set policies and procedures for ground movement. Ensures that personnel data and emergency contact information for deployed personnel is current and maintained internally with SOSi Human Resources. Maintain control of all purchases of equipment, supplies, and materials as required to support the program. Conduct reviews and evaluations of employees. Develop policies, procedures and SOPs where required. Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Manager. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree, PMP or 10 years experience in similar position or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in an overseas environment is preferred. Strong background in Power Generation or Trades (Electrical) is preferred. Possess an understanding of logistical and fiscal support to overseas operations and have the ability to solve Site problems with short deadlines. Satisfactory English language writing and communication skills and extensive experience in preparing and presenting oral and written briefings. Previous international experience in management of similar programs and an ability to work within foreign and diverse cultures is required Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Office Project. Work Environment Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions. Position will work shifts as required to support firefighting requirements on a 24/7 basis.
