Job Description: The Site Manager II is responsible for the overall management and operational effectiveness of the Baledogle site under the LOGCAP contract. This includes overseeing all site operations, departments, services, and activities, ensuring compliance with contractual, statutory, and procedural requirements. The Site Manager II will coordinate activities, assess operational needs, manage financial performance, provide technical guidance, and maintain a safe and productive work environment. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as experience in project management and a commitment to safety and quality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •Operational Management: Directs the effective operation of all site functions and services, developing and implementing improvement initiatives as needed. Coordinates and schedules departmental activities to ensure timely support services. Investigates technical and operational issues, determines root causes, and recommends solutions. Provides technical and operational guidance to staff. •LOGCAP (Logistics Civil Augmentation Program) Site Managers on a US Military Forward Operating Base (FOB) have a wide range of responsibilities that are crucial to the smooth operation of the base. They essentially act as the "mayors" of the FOB, overseeing and managing various essential services and activities. •Base Life Support: Housing and billeting: Managing living quarters for military personnel, ensuring they are clean, functional, and well-maintained. Food services: Overseeing dining facilities, ensuring quality food preparation, hygiene standards, and efficient service. Laundry services: Managing laundry facilities and ensuring clean linens and clothing are available. Morale and welfare: Supporting recreational facilities, gyms, libraries, and other amenities that contribute to the well-being of personnel. •Facilities Management: Utilities: Ensuring the reliable supply of water, electricity, and other essential utilities. Maintenance and repair: Overseeing the maintenance and repair of buildings, infrastructure, and equipment. Grounds maintenance: Managing landscaping, waste disposal, and general cleanliness of the base. •Transportation and Logistics: Transportation services: Managing bus services, vehicle maintenance, and transportation of personnel and supplies within the FOB. Supply chain management: Overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment. Postal services: Managing mail delivery and postal operations for the FOB. •Security and Safety: Security: Coordinating with military police and security personnel to ensure the safety and security of the base. Fire and emergency services: Overseeing fire prevention and emergency response procedures. Environmental health and safety: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards. •Other Essential Services: Medical services: Supporting medical clinics and ensuring access to healthcare for personnel. Communication services: Managing communication systems and ensuring reliable internet and phone access. Contractor management: Overseeing the work of subcontractors providing various services on the FOB. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
