Job Title: Site Manufacturing Excellence Manager
Location: Thailand

Position Summary:


The Site Manufacturing Excellence Manager reports to the Factory Director and is a member of the Site leadership team. S/he will coordinate all UMS activities for loss eradication within manufacturing inbound and outbound supply chain context. S/he is also responsible to develop a capability in UMS (Unilever Manufacturing System), Masterplan from the site manufacturing strategy, providing UMS skill development and coaching for all operators, engineers, supervisors and managers in the sourcing unit as well as working with the Factory Director to ensure appropriate progress is being made against KPIs and Site and Pillar Route Maps.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the implementation, management, and successful operation of the Continuous Improvement Methodology process in the factory.

Set Program Plan to align between BG and BU SC/Manex to get end to end alignment and business focus by factory.

Together with Factory manager Propose yearly Priority focus activity (Priority line) in align with masterplan 

Ensure site UMS master plan and actions are aligned with the category manufacturing strategy.

Coordinates the development of the UMS preparation phase plan, tracks progress against the plan and leads issue resolution (gap analysis and adjustments to plan).

Lead FI pillar to be focus on the improvement activity and consolidate with Factory Manager on the action updates and support needed.

Implements appropriate reviews (monthly, quarterly) to evaluate both pillars and departments progress in their UMS plans.

Runs the continuously improvement Focus priority activity for each Pillars. And Facilitates the development of individual pillars, sets benchmarks and tracks completion of pillar goals, including participation in pillar meetings, team meetings and activities.

Works with PD (People Development) Pillar leader to build capabilities in the Pillar leaders and manages their development.

Serves as a resource and coach for questions and practices regarding the UMS process

Provides updated information on a monthly basis to SU Directors, BU ManEx team regarding progress of UMS, saving project, Improvement initiatives. 

Serves as a UMS champion in the facility to promote UMS amongst management and employees

Participates in RVS or GVS clusters, seeks out best practices, and ensures lessons learned and key agreed upon items are horizontally expanded into the factory.

Coordinates with Site Unilever Project Management and site TIM Manager to ensure appropriate EEM and UMS methodology is being incorporated into all projects and new equipment/products and ensures this is part of the Site Acceptance Test.

Provides MP records and UMS site standards to Site Unilever Project Management and site TIM (Technology Innovation Manager) Manager for all projects for the site.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience

More than 10 years' experience in Engineering, Process Engineering, Production and/or Manufacturing Excellence

World Class Manufacturing experience, FMCG is highly preferred

TPM/WCM//Six Sigma/LEAN experience required

Good command of Thai & English.
