Summary: 

GameStop is seeking a Site Merchant to join our fast-growing e-commerce team. In this role, you will create a best-in-class shopping experience for our online customers, executing strategies and developing best practices for all categories across the site. You will use your web analytics knowledge to ensure the customer experience is as intuitive and frictionless as possible. You will be the liaison with merchants, product teams, creative, and marketing, and will mentor others on the team in site merchandising best practices. 

The ideal candidate is action-oriented and able to balance strategic thinking with attention to executional detail. 
 
This position will sit onsite in Grapevine, TX. 
  

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

Develop and implement comprehensive site merchandising strategies for assigned areas of responsibility to support online sales growth and manage daily operations. 

Lead cross-functional projects to enhance the overall online customer experience, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. 

Analyze and leverage customer behavior to prioritize the most critical actions necessary to improve the shopping experience. 

Regularly partner with Marketing, Product, and Creative teams to ensure a seamless and optimal customer experience across all digital touchpoints. 

Curate and maintain links for content including email, homepage, events, and onsite creative content. 

Optimize navigation, sorting rules, filter refinements, categories/subcategories, and onsite search based on strategies and data-driven opportunities to drive optimum conversion. 

Research industry trends and provide competitive analysis to identify white space and opportunities. 

Make data-driven recommendations based on department financial goals to drive online business using market trends and insights. 

Provide detailed weekly and monthly reporting and analysis. Utilize data and key metrics to understand the performance of creative assets and customer interaction across the site to identify business opportunities and improve customer experience. 

Collaborate with Product Management to identify and prioritize site enhancements, bug fixes, and other digital projects to enhance the front-end site experience. 

Act as a mentor and resource for junior team members, providing guidance on site merchandising best practices and professional development. 

Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging trends in e-commerce and online merchandising. 

Ensure all site content and merchandising strategies are aligned with overall brand guidelines and business objectives. 

Monitor and respond to customer feedback, using insights to inform ongoing site improvements and enhancements.

Required Skills and Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 4-6 years relevant work experience. 

5+ years of site merchandising experience is required. 

Previous experience with content management systems and retail website platforms. Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) is highly preferred. 

Advanced knowledge of and applied experience with web analytics, A/B testing, site search, SEO, and retail business performance metrics. 

Working knowledge of basic HTML, FTP, File Editor applications, and advanced Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables) required. 

Expertise in site analytics and the ability to translate data into actionable insights is required. 

Strong computer skills: proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and advanced knowledge of Excel. 

Previous experience working with digital assets and related asset management tools required. 

Photoshop and Figma experience are a plus. 

Proficient analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to interpret data and make subsequent decisions and recommendations. 

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and mentor junior team members. 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels. 

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. 

  

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

Working knowledge of basic HTML, FTP, and file editor applications. 

Proficient analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to interpret data and make subsequent decisions and recommendations. 

Experience in managing complex projects and driving alignment across multiple stakeholders. 

Familiarity with emerging trends and technologies in e-commerce and digital merchandising.
