**Position Summary**
RSI is recruiting for a Site Operations Lead who will be responsible for operation and maintenance of site-specific groundwater treatment systems and supervising the Site Environmental Scientist/Technician for the Monticello CERCLA site. The Site Operations Lead will directly support the LMS Site Lead. Work typically includes operations to support remediation, environmental monitoring, and inspection and maintenance of institutional controls. The role requires the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and engage professionally with stakeholders, clients, site visitors, regulators, and local municipalities in a professional manner.

**Hiring Range: $** 75,000-$95,000 per year.(The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)
This position is required to travel 5-10% of the time.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Operate and maintain telemetry to operate and maintain active groundwater remediation system. Have knowledge of the operation of water piping, water pumps, underground utilities, general maintenance techniques, etc.
+ Operate and maintain active leachate collection and treatment systems.
+ Operate and maintain domestic wastewater treatment systems.
+ Manage supervisory control and data acquisition systems to operate and maintain remediation system.
+ Receive daily work direction from LMS Site Lead and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
+ Serve as the point of contact for facilities infrastructure related to site treatment systems and manage FIMS assets, both in accordance with Asset Management requirements.
+ Provide technical support for remedy decision-making and programmatic strategy.
+ Support the Site Lead to manage scope schedule and budget via Earned Value Management System baseline development and monthly financial reporting.
+ Plan and authorize work under the Integrated Work Control Process and Integrated Safety Management System requirements. Generate Plan of the Week/Plan of the Day.
+ Conduct management assessments and support Quality Assurance with internal and external audits, and address Assessment and Issue Management concerns as needed.
+ Assist with development and implementation of STEM programs and materials.
+ Keep current with all required training and certifications.
+ Supervise staff to ensure proper operation and maintenance of site treatment systems. Manage training for staff via coordination with HR and the Learning/Training department. Approve timesheets, expense authorizations and expense reports, as needed. Conduct performance evaluations and mentor staff.
+ Ensure frequent interaction with site and program hydrogeologists, regulators, and stakeholders, as needed.
+ Review and support products to meet contract deliverables that are identified in the site-specific Statement of Work. This typically includes quarterly and annual reports, updates to Long-Term Stewardship Plans with CERCLA-related documentation, and environmental monitoring reports.
+ Provide timely contribution for contract deliverables as requested.
+ Provide input for routine reporting of weekly site operations and management updates, monthly technical summary updates, and LM status requests, etc.
+ Maintain communication with the emergency management department, and update site emergency response information.
+ Assist subcontractor personnel in their work at the site while providing oversight, including conducting safety briefings, training, and maintaining daily logs.
+ Ability to work alone in inclement weather conditions daily (e.g., rain, snow, heat, cold)
+ Additional duties as required or assigned.
**Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or related fields. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
+ 10 years of relevant experience
**Licenses and Certifications**
+ Preferred, but not required, certifications would include Certified Water Treatment Operator, Construction Site Supervisor, and OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Certification, Electrical Certification, radiological worker training.
**Required Skills and Abilities**
+ Technical expertise and experience with site treatment systems.
+ Proficiency in administering project controls processes using Earned Value Management System and procedures for controlling large-scale project.
+ Knowledge and experience with CERCLA regulations and processes.
+ Knowledge and experience managing small-scale construction, renovation, maintenance, and repairs to treatment systems, including subcontractor and vendor technical oversight. Ability to support project managers for large-scale construction projects involving site treatment systems.
+ Technical expertise and experience with treatment of contaminated groundwater, disposal cell leachate, and domestic wastewater treatment systems.
+ Demonstration of language, mathematical, and computer skills necessary to perform essential job functions.
+ Familiarization with Integrated Work Control Processes and Integrated Safety Management System requirements.
+ Ability to work around and have knowledge of underground utilities, (e.g., water, sewer, electric, gas, communication) and excavations.
+ Experience with and safe use of hand tools, portable electrical generators, electrical motors, pumps and corded and cordless battery-powered tools.
+ Skilled in safe operation practices, operating UTV's and hauling UTV's, and loading, unloading, and towing trailers.
+ Expertise in confined space entry, fall protection, lock/tagout hazardous energy control, and the safe operation of cranes, hoists, and riggings essential for job duties.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
+ An excellent communicator, both verbally and in written form.

**Essential Physical Requirements**
Medium: Work involves moving objects by exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or an above-negligible amount and up to 10 pounds constantly. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.
