Job Summary

Senior site role that operates as a leader to plan, implement, assure and improve the Quality/Business Management System (QMS/BMS) to meet the needs & expectations of the sites interested parties and therefore maintain all associated certification and regulatory approvals.
To provide the guidance, governance and expertise to the site leadership team to nurture a culture of Quality in all site activities, ensure quality compliance and support the delivery of the site business objectives.

Job Responsibilities Working collaboratively with the site Senior Leadership Team to create and sustain a Quality culture and provide appropriate governance and assurance leadership. Planning, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the site QMS/BMS in compliance with industry standards, applicable Aviation Safety laws, customer and GKN Aerospace Global Standards requirements. Planning, conducting & follow up activities (including systemic analysis of risk/opportunity) of product and production process audit as required by the programmes Systemic risk management and mitigation for the QMS/ BMS with focus on compliance, deployment and effectiveness. Escalating any QMS/BMS risks to the Site Leadership, Act as the site representation on QMS/ BMS and Quality compliance related matters with Customers, Certifying Bodies and Aerospace Authorities Coordination, planning, hosting and leadership of all Regulatory/ Customer (2nd party) & Certification Body (3rd party) audits and assessments to ensure successful outcome and, supporting Site Local Business Process Managers (LBPM) in resolving any issues raised as part of the audits Planning and management of the system requirements for hosting and deployment of the local QMS/BMS, its stated processes & associated controls and for training people who will be defining/utilising its functions Recording and measuring of any defined Site QMS/BMS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and for taking the actions necessary to improve Managing Continuous Improvement of the QMS/BMS as well as forward planning on the integration of new regulation/specification requirements. Within the specific audit criteria for gathering of appropriate audit evidence, recommendations and thus preparing the audit and distributing the audit report and conducting the audit follow up; Provide robust RCCA and timely closure of audit findings. For the evaluation of the audit evidence, non-conformities recommendations / opportunities for improvement and for the communication of subsequent recommendations, including risk identification to the BMS/QMS Manager; Provide planning and hosting of external 2nd and 3rd party audits including support to follow up activity support (e.g RCCA/ NCR/ OASIS) integrity management. Manage and be conversant in NAA regulations (CAAC, CAAM, DGCA, EASA, FAA, UK CAA etc). Has been a Form 4 holder with NAA (CAAM or EASA or FAA or others). Job Qualifications Formal, internationally/nationally recognised qualifications in Business Management and/or Quality Management (such as university degree, master’s degree, Certificate in Management etc.) or Engineering/Technical degree with experience of Quality/Business Management Systems Demonstrated knowledge, experience and training of ISO 9001, AS/EN/JISQ9110, Aviation Regulatory (CAAM, CAAC, EASA, FAA, CAA UK etc) & customer quality requirements and application of these into an accredited QMS/BMS Experience of deploying BMS across an organisation of an equal size; Demonstrated knowledge, experience and training in Lean and its application within a business management context Effective use of the ISO 9001 Process Effectiveness Assessment Report (PEAR) & the processes defined within AS 9110 Knowledge of ISO19001 and use of process and risk based methods and techniques for audit planning and execution Use and practical knowledge and experience of the IAQG OASIS database for the input to audit planning Development of people, their QMS/BMS knowledge & perception of QMS/BMS value within and outside direct control Clear understanding of how the QMS/BMS supports the deployment of the GKNA values, strategic goals/objectives and how these are aligned to the organisations key processes Good knowledge of the Industry Quality forums that define the standards such as IAQG, AESQ, etc. An effective problem solver with strong knowledge of tools such as Fault tree /RCCA A leader to who can coach peers and has the ability to work within a matrix organization, with strong influencing skills A self-starter, motivated and able to positively motivate others within the organization, mentoring and coaching of staff and other employees and the development of succession plans. An effective communicator with good soft/presentation skills Experienced in coaching others with strong influencing skills; Commercial awareness Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing/Continuous improvement skills Experience dealing with customers, certifying bodies and suppliers
