The IT Platform team at Synopsys is at the forefront of providing a top-tier EDA design environment optimized for HPC workloads. As we undergo rapid expansion, we are seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to catalyze our transformation. We are looking for an experienced individual with expertise in Linux/HPC and Ansible.
Responsibilities:Collaborate with Engineering teams to enhance the HPC environment.Lead efforts in maintaining and troubleshooting complex performance issues in the HPC environment.Communicate and provide Root Cause Analysis to internal customers.Mentor team members in change management and automation best practices.Implement automation, APIs, and monitoring for observability.
Desired Skills:In-depth knowledge of Linux variants like RHEL/Ubuntu.Expertise in HPC components like NFS/Shared File systems and Grid Schedulers (IBM spectrum LSF / Univa Grid / SLURM).Proficiency in automation frameworks like Ansible.Extensive knowledge of x86 server hardware platforms, including benchmarking and tuning for HPC.Familiarity with ARM/IBM power/ Apple platform is an assetFamiliarity with virtualization platforms like OpenStack / VmWare
Qualifications:RedHat Certified Architect (RHCA) or equivalent.MS in Computer Science or equivalent.A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

The annual range across the U.S. for this role is between $118,000-178,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
