Job Description: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) 

  

General Position Description: 
 We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in software development who are looking to expand their expertise in cloud technologies and infrastructure as code (IaC). The SRE will be instrumental in facilitating and improving the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our systems through automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices using AWS CDK, Kubernetes, and other cloud tools. 

  

Responsibilities: 

Develop and maintain scalable and robust infrastructure using the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and Kubernetes.Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and ensure consistent, reliable software release processes.Work closely with development teams to design and implement scalable applications in a cloud environment.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance system reliability and performance.Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks, and work on optimizing the overall system efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that infrastructure designs meet the scalability and performance requirements.Participate in on-call rotations, providing high-quality support with a focus on minimizing impact and preventing recurrence of issues.

  

Skills and Experience: 

Proven experience as a Software Developer with a strong understanding of software engineering principles. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript, Java, and C#. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) practices and tools.Strong knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies, with a solid understanding of Kubernetes as a bonus.Experience with AWS services is desirable, although not strictly required.Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.Ability to troubleshoot and optimize applications and infrastructure for performance and scalability.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  

Education/Certification: 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or other relevant technologies are beneficial but not mandatory.
