Personalized Investing operates and develops Schwab's most innovative products with a primary goal of delighting our clients while empowering them to meet their financial objectives. We are seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer who is a passionate problem solver, an automation aficionado, and life-long learner willing to share knowledge and develop others.  Our SRE team partners closely with product development teams, cloud infrastructure teams, and on-prem platform teams to achieve highly available and resilient applications.  You will be expected to balance solving problems, engineering solutions, and coding/scripting to your benefit, that of your team, or our applications.  Our development stack consists of Java, Angular, Python, MongoDB, Aurora (MySQL), SQL Server, Kafka, RabbitMQ.  Our applications run both on-prem and in AWS.

Required skills:

Computer Science or Engineering degree, plus 1 year of work experience in the field.1+ years in a SRE, Development, Systems Administration, or Operational role(s) with experience that includes relational databases, and message-based and/or event streaming technologies1+ years of cloud experience; AWS, GCP or Azure1+ years of experience with Splunk

 

Preferred skills:
