Job Description Day-to-Day A media client is seeking a Physical Access Site Reliability Engineer to join their team out of Universal City, CA. The Site Reliability Engineer for Workplace Security and Facility Services is responsible for the operations of the physical security and facility systems used globally by media client locations. The systems span across regions providing physical identity management, access control, video surveillance and building management systems (BMS) monitoring and control of the physical infrastructure in our buildings and data centers. This technical role is expected to apply a software engineering mindset to topics elevating the reliability and security of headend infrastructure systems solutions while reducing operational cost. This candidate will consult with Physical Security IT leads on infrastructure requirements for future projects as well as escalation request for high level troubleshooting (Integrations). Site Reliability Engineer will assist scoping work, design and physical security requirements for optimal site security and follow up with project punch list until completion. This person will be expected onsite in Universal City, CA, and must have a self-starter mentality and be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders and engineering teams. This individuals day to day will vary, but some key responsibilities include: * Monitor and support the Enterprise Lenel OnGuard access control system including the enterprise-wide inventory readers, panels including turnstiles and other I/O devices * Monitor and support the Enterprise Genetec video surveillance system including the enterprise-wide inventory of cameras, LPR and video analytics modules * Maintain all systems integrations with third party solutions via restful API, IIS and SQL querying for reporting modules * Maintain high standards and best practices including test, documentation, process application and deployment of solutions * Ensure systems are working optimally with daily system checks including communication links * Conduct initial diagnostic troubleshooting and determining root cause of simple network and systems problems and escalate as necessary * Manage and diagnose initial escalations from system failures to third parties as needed * Create monthly metrics reports for systems availability and firmware status * Participate in performing systems upgrades and patching * Participate in system testing in lower environments prior to production deployment * Assist to evaluate and test new technologies for use cases within the existing systems * Work with other Engineering teams to adapt new integrations and automated tools to enhance the existing applications * Interface with all aspects of the Technology organization, including, but not limited to Cyber, Networking, Firewall, Wintel, Database, Data Warehouse teams * Provide support to assist during major incidents/outages as required * Partner with project team with divestment of properties on Enterprise systems: SAFE, Lenel, Genetec We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements * 3-5+ years of enterprise level experience Lenel and Genetec systems with knowledge of high availability enterprise architectural designs * 3+ years' experience designing scalable and reliable enterprise solutions including considerations for multi-tier software architectures, networking, and security * 3+ years of experience in developing, deploying and operating BMS systems such as Tridium, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider Electric and Johnson Controls. * 2+ years' experience with cloud-based infrastructure and platform services (Azure, AWS) * System administration experience with Windows and Linux preferred * Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally to stakeholders and engineers. Self-starter attitude with the ability to work collaboratively on a team. * Fundamental understanding of Networking (Network+ or CCNA) * Proficient with HVAC monitoring and controls platforms (Tridium, Distech, JCI, Siemens, etc.) and analytics platforms such as SkySpark * Tridium Niagara Certified * Experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP, SNMP, Modbus and BACnet * Ability to read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams and device data sheets * Experience with automation and motivation around leveraging tools null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
