Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to oversee all safety-related duties for various federal construction renovation projects at Indian Head, MD. The SSHO will be responsible for ensuring that all safety protocols are strictly adhered to throughout the project's duration, which includes work on barracks, buildings, interiors, and exteriors. This is a long-term position with an opportunity to work on projects valued between $500k and $2 million.
ResponsibilitiesManage all safety-related duties on the project.Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.Oversee safety measures for federal construction renovations on the Indian Head base.Manage subcontractors on vertical construction projects.Implement and enforce safety programs and policies.Essential SkillsAt least 5+ years of SSHO experience.Experience with government projects.OSHA 30 certification.EM385 certification.Experience in construction management and quality assurance.Knowledge of USACE and NAVFAC standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with interior construction and fit-out projects.Experience managing subcontractors.CQCM certification.Knowledge of federal construction regulations.Work Environment
This role is based 100% on-site at Indian Head, MD. The work environment includes managing safety on various federal construction projects. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
