DESCRIPTION:

As a Site Safety Manager at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to Corporate Safety Manager, you will be responsible for all onsite safety documentation services required to monitor and assist the project team with constructing underground structures such as shafts, tunnels, slopes, and other duties as assigned. The Site Safety Manager will work with the Corporate Safety and Mining Departments as required.

Safety Audits – Ensuring that construction work complies with both project safety specifications and company safety standard, assist with risk management, monitor environmentally sensitive areas Site Safety Management Control – Prepare and distribute all required safety documentation records including various cost, schedule and production reports Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, as-built records, change orders, estimates, etc. Field Safety Reporting – Accurately complete daily, weekly and monthly reporting requirements Comply and promote the Company safety policies to ensure a safe workplace while also observing MSHA Federal and State standards

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Occupational Safety from an accredited institution and 5 or more years of documented full time safety work experience Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Associated Safety Professional (ASP) with 1 or more years documented safety experience Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) or Construction Safety and Health Technician (CHST with 2 or more Years of experience performing safety duties) Certified Mine Safety and Health Professional Must be able to work outside and underground in a challenging environment with exposure to heights
