The CACI Site Safety Technician is responsible for the performing technical duties, related to continuously improving the EHS performance, proactively minimizing and eliminating EHS impacts while assuring compliance with all EHS regulations. Support and maintain procedures and policies adhering to local, state, and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Employee must be site based and remote work is unavailable.
This is a part-time, 2 day a week role.
Essential Duties:
· Support the implementation and maintenance of the EHS system.
· Perform safety oversight by identifying and correcting workplace hazards and unsafe conditions.
· Monitor employee exposure to job and chemical hazards.
· Follow established procedures to determine if all the issues have been assessed and impacts minimized.
· Help identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations.
· Handling and management of hazardous waste materials for small and large quantity generators.
· Monitor, track, log and/or maintain physical records of EHS procedures and programs.
· Conduct audits to verify compliance and identify unsafe conditions.
· Support and conduct EHS training to educate employees about EHS policies, laws, and company practices.
· Document investigations of accidents and incidents to minimize recurrence.
· Identify and report safety concerns to higher-level staff; evaluates safety factors and reports to management.
Qualifications:
· Associate degree, in Environmental or a closely related field or a high school diploma and equivalent work experience.
· Two (2) or more years of industrial environmental experience preferred.
· Ability to read and implement written site safety management plan.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
· OSHA 30-hour Construction or General Industry training preferred
· Must have a valid driver’s license
· US Citizen

The proposed salary range for this position is:
