The Site Security Coordinator acts as the single point of contact regardingm security on the construction site and is responsible for implementing all aspects of the Construction Security Plan (“CSP”) and Construction Security Operations Plan (“CSOP”). The SSC will maintain direct contact with the Construction Security Program Manager, Construction Manager (“CM”) and construction management qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Helps to implement the CSP.
- Acts as the site lead and is responsible for the overall management and coordination of ICD 705 compliance and other construction security requirements.
- Maintains regular communications with designated, construction, and or landlord personnel to communicate safety, security, and compliance concerns and awareness of planned construction activities.
- Receives and implements orders or special instructions from the CM, CSPM or Accrediting Official/ Compliance Manager, and the Project Security Manager (“PSM”) concerning matters which affect the security operations of the site.
- Manages standard operating procedures and special instructions governing the surveillance function.
- Ensures the security integrity of the construction site.
- Conducts daily periodic security inspections for the duration of this SOW to ensure compliance with the CSP.
- Documents and provides timely reports of security violations or deviations from the CSP.
- Implements procedures to deny unauthorized site access.
- Works with the construction firm(s) to ensure security of the construction site and compliance with the requirements set forth in the CSP.
- Notifies the CM, CSPM or Accrediting Official (“AO”) Special Programs Compliance Manager, and the PSM if any ICD 705 or construction security requirements are not or cannot be met.
- Ensures that processes are in place and followed for all persons, packages, boxes, crates, vehicles, or other means of introducing material onto the secure areas are inspected for questionable or prohibited items.
- Supports and Conducts a Security Orientation for all Construction Project staff that access the site. This orientation will be conducted prior to the any construction staff is given a temporary badge so that they can access the site. This orientation will be conducted at the same time as the Construction Safety orientation. This role can be delegated to another qualified security individual with the appropriate qualifications
Requirements:
- The SSC must have at least 10-years' experience working as a CST, “Cleared American Guard”, and/or “Site Security Coordinator” for U.S. Government secure construction projects
- Must have an Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance

Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds, but may vary depending on the position. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
