Environmental Conditions

Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Regularly required to lift 30 - 40lbs, and up to 50lbs occasionally.

Regularly use equipment including pushcarts, pallet jacks, mobile cylinders, forklifts, etc. to push/pull up to 100lbs

Regularly required to stand, walk and conduct manual material handling (twisting, bending, reaching, lifting, etc.) for prolonged periods.

Ability to work in environments with varied temperatures (cold rooms, outside, etc.)

Ability to work overtime as needed.

Job Description

Shift: 8 am to 4:30 pm

This role is dedicated to service delivery excellence for Unity Lab Services. The Site Technician will perform daily pick up of used glassware from labs, process, sterilize, and redistribute the glassware to satellite storage areas.

A Day in the Life:Daily pickup of used glassware from labs, wash, sterilize, and redistribute to satellite storage areasMaintain good house keepingInteract daily with scientific staffReporting production metrics to managementWork in a GMP glassware environmentAdhere to all customer cGMP SOP’sResponsible for maintaining cGMP logs dailyMaintain compliance with cGMP trainingArchiving GMP documentsProvide glass washing and sterilization services maintaining a constant supply of clean and sterile lab glassMaintain glassware processing schedules and flexible to fast paced changing prioritiesPerform inspection of glassware for cracks, breaks, and scratches contacting the Supervisor/Manager/Team Lead with all pertinent information for replacement.Maintain glass wash statistics as decided upon by Thermo Fisher Scientific and customer.Maintain inventory of glassware in locations throughout the facility.Maintain required supplies for glassware washing and sterilization operations.Keys to Success:

Education and Experience

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and preferably an Associate’s degree at minimum.Demonstrated verbal, written and presentation skills.3 + years of progressive relevant experience preferred.Displays a high level of confidentiality for both customer and Thermo Fisher.Must maintain Thermo Fisher Scientifics’ Four-I Values.Experience in laboratory setting or services preferred; experience in cGMP environment preferred.Proven excellence in customer service skills.Detail oriented, problem solver, promotes team environment.Computer/software skills. Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $24 - $25 per hour.

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $20.00–$25.05.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
