Specific activities relative to the job function will include order entry, order management, operating customer procurement systems, metric reporting, stockroom services and material handling. Assist with additional site-based tasks related to inventory or scientific services as necessary. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support our customers' laboratory needs. **Responsibilities** + Using inventory/order management electronic systems to perform on-site program replenishments and disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry and expediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, and backorder processing + Working within computer systems to access and follow standard operating procedures. + Proactively communicating with the supervisor any customer concerns and/or potential problems. + Effectively addressing customer concerns within established resolution timeframes. + Engaging in process improvement activities. + Other responsibilities as assigned by management. **How will you get here?** ***** **Must be Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.** ***Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check to include drug screening.** **Education:** Must possess a High School Diploma/GED **Experience:** Previous inventory experience strongly encouraged. Customer service experience a plus **Knowledge, Skills, Abilities** + Proven verbal, written and presentation skills. + Must maintain Thermo Fisher Scientifics’ Four-I Values + Shown excellence in customer service. + Detail oriented, problem solver, promotes team environment. + Computer/software skills (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) + Proficient multi-tasking and time-management skills. + Demonstrate a self-motivation in completing work assignments. + Maintain a professional appearance at all times. **Working Conditions:** Works primarily in and around shipping/receiving docks, stock rooms, storage locations and laboratory environments. Walking/standing may be required for up to 70% of the day. May pass through areas where chemical-based allergens may be in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc) Able to lift, push and pull 30-50 pounds as required. Able to use material handling equipment such as push carts and pallet jacks.
