We are partnered with a leading contractor with a reputation for delivering world-class projects across a diverse range of industries dedicated to ensuring quality, safety, and sustainability. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for an experienced Site Supervisor for Data Centre projects in Skien that will oversee the day-to-day operations, particularly fire packages such as Aspirating Smoke Detectors. You will also ensure all site activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Manage day-to-day site activities giving attention to implementation of site safety and project quality.
Develop detailed work plans, schedules & milestones to ensure project objectives are met.
Monitoring of progress, adjusting as necessary to keep the project in line.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the discussion of project progress, addressing issues, and plan upcoming tasks.
Emphasise health & safety policies on site & procedures, conduct regular safety inspection, risk assessment, and provide training as needed.
Verify all installation work meets or exceeds quality standards and project specifications.
Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed work to ensure quality control and address any quality issues promptly and effectively.
Maintain updated project documentations, progress reports and safety records ready for review or submission to senior management.
Monitor material deliveries, equipment usage, and workforce productivity to prevent delays.
Degree/qualifications/trades background in Construction Management or related field.
Significant years of experience in a similar role within construction with focus on Data Centre, fire packages primarily Aspirating Smoke Detectors.
Extensive knowledge of data centre construction process, materials, and legal requirements.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to manage and develop a team with strong ability to motivate and inspire team members.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities capable of interpreting complex data and making informed decisions.
Effective communication skills with ability to convey complex project information clearly and effectively.
