Site Supervisor (FiFO)

SITE SUPERVISOR

The Role:

 To work closely with the Construction /Project Manager and guide site personnel in the safe and successful delivery of contracted civil construction works on time, on budget and within the agreed scope and quality standards. The Site Supervisor is responsible for the effective supervision and coordination of daily site operations, site safety and resources including labour, materials, equipment and subcontracts whilst ensuring SRG and Client policies and procedures are followed during the project. This involves directly managing relationships with site workforce, client representatives and the Management team to effectively supervise site resources and drive day-to-day operations. The Site Supervisor acts as a mentor and leader to site staff, ensuring they have the required knowledge and tools to perform the job effectively and maintain SRG's Zero Harm culture, best practice and SRG policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Construction/Project Manager with the forecast and allocation of resources including labour, material and equipment. Ensure works are conducted in a safe and efficient manner whilst maintaining SRG's high quality standards. Interpret issued construction drawings and documentation. Instruct and manage Leading Hands/Site Team and provide progress reports to Construction/Project Manager. Monitor site safety to identify and mitigate risks/hazards and promote SRG's Zero Harm culture. Report all risks , actual or potential, according to Client and SRG policies and procedures. Liaise and manage ongoing relationship with client representatives to ensure satisfaction with job progress. Assist Construction/Project Manager and HR team with recruitment of site employees where required. This may include conducting interviews, phone screens or SRG inductions. Mentor and provide leadership, direction and support to site employees. This includes training and closely monitoring new employees. Address complaints (internal and external) and resolve interpersonal issues. Ensure daily worksheets are accurately completed and sent to the relevant department on schedule. Actively assist with regular tool box meetings. Assist with the preparation of project documentation and reporting as per Client and SRG procedures. Prepare work orders and coordinate delivery of materials and equipment to site. Monitor and manage project consumables, liaising with suppliers on an ongoing basis where required. Ensure plant and equipment is regularly inspected and maintained to a safe and efficient standard. Review and report performance as required. Use the current project as an opportunity to communicate and promote SRG's other capabilities to the client and leverage opportunities to cross sell the business.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

Cert IV in Training & Assessment Relevant Trade Certificate desirable Formal qualification in Project Management, OHS or similar field desirable HR license desirable.

Experience:

5 Years Experience in similar role.
