Site Supervisor
The Site Supervisor/Team Lead will work under the general direction of the Site Manager and is responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations of the customer site location, responsible for adherence to all safety, regulatory, and compliance activities, the management of direct reports, adherance to contracts, current customer growth, and other operational related activities.
What You'll Do
Responsible for the daily safe, efficient, legal and economical operations of assigned location. Facilitates compliance to corporate health, safety, and environmental policies, including completion of all required training, documentation and record keeping. Supports sales efforts consistent with corporate and regulatory compliance, health, safety and environmental affairs standards. Leads the emergency response team in the customer site location. Implements and manages customer site location health and safety program and conducts safety audits in conjunction with Operations Supervisor(s) or Safety Manager. Conducts timely and detailed incident investigations and communicates root causes and recommends corrective and preventives measures to the District Operations Manager. Regularly briefs upper management on customer site location performance, including cost and productivity opportunities and issues, and customer or industry related trends. Maintains a supervisory presence throughout the customer site location; ensures daily pre-shift meetings are held, and regularly communicates expectations to employees Manages day-to-day work activities to ensure operational goals and objectives are met. Ensures all employees have the required tools and training on matters related to safety, operation standards and department goals. Ensures company quality processes are adhered to at the customer site location level. Partners with appropriate departments to resolves issues in an efficient and timely manner.
What You'll Need
High School Diploma/GED required. 3-5 years hazardous waste operations experience preferred Knowledge of BiProduct and Waste facility operation preferred Working knowledge of governmental requirements related to the BiProduct and Waste; i.e. OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, etc. preferred or demonstrated ability to attain such knowledge Supervisory Leadership; consistent record of communicating, supporting, and empowering employees to achieve operational objectives. Proven understanding of Microsoft Office applications; Excel and Word Analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, record and report department production Ability to report and understand performance metrics and process improvement. High level of decision-making ability; balancing customers needs and company objectives. HazMat certified and Hazwoper Certified is a huge plus
