Provides technical and clinical support to the perioperative team during a variety of surgical procedures.Performs duties as the primary scrub person by handling instrumentation, supplies and equipment.Anticipates the surgeon and procedural needs.Education and Certification:
High school diploma or GED.Has successfully completed a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologists and holds and maintains a certified surgical technologist credential administered by a nationally accredited surgical technologist credentialing organization; ORHas completed an appropriate training program for surgical technology in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard or Public Health Service Commissioned Corps; ORProvides evidence that the person was employed as a surgical technologist in a healthcare facility for a cumulative period of one year, occurring within the four years immediately prior to the effective date of January 1, 2015;ORIs in the service of the federal government, to the extent the person is performing duties related to that service.It is required that all new graduates be nationally certified within the 12 month period immediately following the successful completion of a surgical technology programQualified Candidates:
Current BLS/CPR certification is required at time of hire and maintained.Demonstrates manual dexterity and ability to handle equipment and instruments.Ability to work effectively in task-oriented situations.The schedule is a varied rotational shift. The schedule includes a weekend, holiday and on-call rotation.Pay:$25.00-$35.70
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
