Experience At least 4 years of experience operating skid steer loaders, preferably in mining or construction projects. Requirements Proficiency in operating various attachments, such as buckets, augers, forks, and sweepers. Knowledge of soil types, material handling techniques, and site grading principles. Ability to troubleshoot and address minor mechanical issues. Familiarity with safety regulations for heavy equipment operations in industrial and mining environments. Physical fitness and stamina to work in challenging outdoor and remote site conditions. Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate tasks effectively. Responsibilities Operate skid steer loaders to perform tasks such as material handling, excavation, backfilling, and site cleanup. Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure the skid steer loader is in safe and functional condition. Follow operational plans and instructions provided by supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and safely. Maintain the skid steer loader by performing routine checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks. Identify and report mechanical issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team for timely repairs. Ensure safe loading, unloading, and transport of materials using the loader. Adhere to RDMC safety protocols and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Work collaboratively with other operators and team members to meet project deadlines. Keep accurate records of daily work, equipment usage, and any incidents encountered. Operate the loader in various site conditions, including confined spaces, rough terrains, and slopes.
