Job Description Paramedic Military Fellowship MUST BE ACTIVE-DUTY MILITARY TO QUALIFY Global Medical Response (GMR) is proud to be an authorized provider of the DOD SkillBridge program, offering Service Members the opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience in the medical response industry through training and internships. Under the SkillBridge program, GMR hosts active-duty U.S. Military members for skilled employment training during the final six months of their active-duty obligated service. The SkillBridge Program with GMR will run for 90 days. We’re hiring Paramedics for our DOD SkillBridge Program that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care to our customers. Responsibilities: Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care. Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given. Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses. Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics. Other Responsibilities: Participate in community programs to maintain GMR image and establish strong community relations. Minimum Required Qualifications: Current Active-Duty Service Member Meets DoD SkillBridge Qualifications Available to participate 90-days. Obtain approval from your unit commander and agree that participation in SkillBridge can be terminated at any time by the Service if mission requirements dictate. We’re hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for our DOD SkillBridge Fellowship that will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. Responsibilities: EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment. Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights. Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients. Use appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools. EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles. Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs. Other Responsibilities: Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations. Salary Ranges: Imperial County Paramedic: $19.10 - $31.45 Hourly DOE (This rate applies to 24 hour shifts) $24.94 - $41.07 Hourly DOE (This rate applies to 12 hour shifts) San Diego Paramedic: $68,171.15-$112,392.30 (depending on years of experience) annualized rate DOE, 12-hour shifts consist of daily overtime after 8 hours (averages 42 hour work week) $68,171.15-$112,392.30 (depending on years of experience) annualized rate, 24-hour rate shift consists of weekly overtime after a 40-hour workweek.
