Job Description

Amcor is currently searching for individuals to join our Shelbyville - Liquids production plant!

SHIFT AVAILABLE:

Fluid Tech: 2-2-3 12-hour Straight Days, 7:00-7:00!

Every other weekend off!

STARTING PAY:

Fluid Technician- $18+/hour - Based on skillset and experience!

Plus $1.50 night shift premium!

WHAT FLUID TECHNICIANS GET TO DO

Follows all Company policies and procedures related to safety.  Maintains only the highest safety standards by wearing proper PPE, etc.Performs tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation, and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors.Meets company’s attendance requirements including timely reporting of absence and working overtime as requested.Mix and stage adhesives needed to meet the needs of the lamination schedule.“QC” mixed adhesives in the mixing room.Monitor adhesive requirements at the laminator and deliver adhesive to laminators in a timely manner to ensure laminators have adequate adhesive supply to run continuously.  Deliver and return empty totes and drums from the laminators.Makes solvent blends for laminators – ensure the correct solvent blend is being used per laminator schedule and laminator set up sheetMaintains complete and accurate records of adhesive/solvents usageResponsible for recording, labeling ink containers (drums, buckets, etc.)Receive (unload) adhesives, load used drums onto trucks, transport adhesives and solvents within the mixing and outside storage areasResponsible for handing waste in in accordance with hazardous wasteMaintains a neat and orderly work area, in accordance to 5S Standards, by cleaning spills and disposing of trash on a timely basis.Participates in on-the-job training and instruction to learn other job tasks.Complies with Company policies and performs other duties as assigned.
